With Expo taking over the running of the Memorabilia events, they are starting to show they may be capable of bringing good guests to an event that sadly in the last couple of years seemed to go downhill a bit. On 23rd (Sunday) of November, Henry Winkler will be attending the Memorabilia event in Birmingham.

With Eclipse 2 just 5 weeks away, Wolf Events have entered the world of Heroes and in 2009 are planning on running two Heroes related weekend conventions, called Timeline. Held at Heathrow on 10-12th April 2009, and limited to 500 attendees, the first two guests announced are pretty impressive: Greg Grunberg and Jack Coleman.

The London Expo has recently added 2 more guests to their impressive lineup. Dexter star Julie Benz - recently seen in Rambo - and Battlestar Galactica’s Aaron Douglas will be scheduled to attend the show.
Also last week, Shawnee Smith was announced as a guest.

Sean Harry plans on running 2 different types of sci-fi conventions, one late this year, the next in 2009.
Starfury: T1 will be a convention covering the 3 terminator films and the new tv series Sarah Connor Chronicles. Sounds good.
And during December 5-7 at Thistle Heathrow he is running a new Battlestar Galactica event. Other company has ran them before though, it will be interesting to see quality of guests he obtains.

The main headline guest for Serentiy Complete was Summer Glau, who has now cancelled due to getting a new film. Good luck to her, absolutely gutted I won’t see her though.
And MassiveEvents unfortunately have had terrible luck trying to put on the Lost convention, their main guest - Henry Ian Cusick - has also cancelled. Due to JJ Abrams wanting most of the main cast available at short notice for the remaining filming of episodes, this means running the event at this time has proven tough to get bigger names.

The upcoming Manchester Midlands show has now had - in the space of 2 days - Burn Gorman cancel, and Brian Blessed will also not be attending the show.
Another guest has been added, Bruno Langley, who appeared in a couple of Doctor Who episodes, but is a more familiar face from his Coronation Street days.
The guest lineup looks sparse for this show, which is a shame. In all honesty it looks one of the weakest lineups showmasters have put on, 5 guests I wanted to meet have cancelled and only 2 I want to meet now.
Elsewhere, Showmasters announced a few more photoshoots for CM13, they are having Linda Blair and Teryl Rothery’s on the Monday.

At the Collectormania Midlands I picked up the leaflet for the LFCC and noticed 2 names added to that lineup, Raiders of the Lost Ark actress Karen Allen, who has previously done a show in England and a somewhat - at least on these shores - rarer Trek guest, Voyager’s Tuvok, namely Tim Russ.

With the cancellation of Naoki Mori, showmasters did soften that blow by announcing another Torchwood actor to appear ‘in their place’ so to speak, namely Burn Gorman. He probably will only be there one day, which day, won’t be known by Friday. Best check showmasters website that day.

Unfortunately the upcoming Collectormania Manchester show has been hit with 3 cancellations today.
Namely, Voyager’s Robert Beltran, Naoko Mori from Torchwood and Sylvester McCoy have all had to cancel their appearance. The event is looking sparse at this moment in time.
